In some way, is a symbol of Chinese food culture. Because in Chinese world, Dumpling means reunion, family love, welfare and lucky. People eat them with family the night before the Chinese New Year. Whatever where you are, whatever who you are, sitting with you family around a big table, and eat dumpling together on that night, is the most important thing as a traditional Chinese. I, as a kind of food, Dumpling also has a good fame in the world stage, because it is not only very delicious, but also a symbol of China. And the process that making dumpling is also a kind of joy especially make them with your family numbers. Today, as a traditional Chinese, I will teach you how to make dumplings real fast, so if you have any Chinese friends of even not Chinese friends, you can make dumplings for them, I promise, people will look you with new eyes.
Ok first, let me talk about tools, you need prepare a rolling-pin , and you need salt, lots of dough, a big bowl of Minced Beef , a big bowl of minced carrots. a small size bowl of water.
Farina is used to make dumpling wrapper and the rolling-pin is used to roll it. Minced beef is used to make stuffing in the middle of dumpling, so as minced carrots.
And the most important part, your family members.
Now, everything’s ready, lets head into making it.
First step: make stuffing.
Put the minced beef and minced carrots into the big bowl, mix them up for 5 minutes, add three spoon of water, and two spoon of salt.
Second step: make Dumpling wrapper, dumpling wrapper is the most important part of dumpling. You can’t roll the wrapper too thick. First, you need knead dough, after this, grab the dough that already be knead, as big as your thumb, put it on your chopping board. And roll it with your rolling-pin. Until it become like this:
Third step: put stuffing into the wrapper.
First put a spoonful of filling in the center of the wrapper. Then stick the two opposite sides together and then the rest. Here’s the some picture online that can help you to do this,
by the way this is a really difficult process. It pains me alot . So If you like to do it in different shapes, that would be joyful and much more convenient!!!
Finally!!! We made it! Now its the time to cook it, cooking dumpling could have lots of different way. We can fry it, boil it, and steam it. They are all really delicious.
If you want to fry it, you can just put some oil and a little bit of water(about 0.5 cm deep) in pan, then you put dumplings in the pan, wait 3 minutes till the water is gone. Then move the dumplings carefully and flip it to another side and fry them for 5 minutes so that the dumplings are fried evenly. Then the fried dumplings are done!
If you wanna boil it. Fill a pot with water(about 2/3 of the pot), put some oil in it and boil the water. When the water is boiling, put the dumplings in the pot and put a cup of cold water in it and wait for the water to boil again. Don’t forget to stir the dumplings to prevent them from sticking together. When the dumplings are floating on the surface of the water means the dumplings are ready to serve!
If you wanna steam it, you could just prepare a little stand put in the pot, and put some water into the pot too, and put dumplings into a big bowl then put the bowl on the stand then heat it, wait 10 minutes, then you can enjoy it!
Also, you can add different Seasoning to make it more tasty!
Finally, you can enjoy the AMAZING dumplings!!!!!

Dumplings are so good. Along with spring-rolls, I enjoy eating them at PF Cheng's. They're soft and chewy and I'm always wanting more.
