Why TKAM Should be a Part of High School Curriculum

Nowadays, many schools in the nation are dropping To Kill a Mockingbird from the curriculum in favor of more modern literature. This is not right!

As our society put away this book, I must tell you why those schools dropping this book. The reason is very simple, seemingly, it is because this book has some racial problem factor. And people think, today, racial problem has already been solved. People no longer need learn how to face it. But this is all wrong, so instead of reading this boring book, why dont why find something more fashion, this world need more fashion, right? But this is wrong! And I will tell you why.

People must face a problem, seeking a balance point between material life and spiritual life. But we can notice this balance already been broken. People has material life more then spiritual life, this is scary, because this when people lost spiritual pursuit, they will become complacent, complacent about themselves , complacent about this society. So automatically, lots of problem s will be ignored, and racism is one of this. So people would say Oh we no longer need discuss this issue, this problem has no longer exist. And this is actually very dangerous, the truth is, the issue still exist, and compare with 100 years ago, today is the day that we can truly solve this problem. And today is the day that we can teach our children how to face this problem. So we cant throw away all those treasure literature, we must read it, read it ourselves and read it to our children.

Atticus and Tom Robinson

And this is just one of the reason that why high school should not drop this book.

This book published in 1960, it was immediately successful and winning the Pulitzer Prize. The plot and character are loosely based on authors observation of her family and neighbors. And has been wrote from a 10 years girls view. The language in this book is warm and beautiful and the description on details is perfect. This book is not only a book about racism, in this book, you will find the lots of truths about humility, the beauty of humility and the ugly of humility. Harper Lee used her amazing satire language and magical rhetoric to show us a vivid world that hided lots of humility truth.  And every time you read it you can learn something new. To Kill a Mockingbird is absolutely a rare masterwork in American literary history. We should not throw it away from as, especially in the critical moment of America.

#8 week comment on Washington post.

I disagree with the writer, first , there are a lot of example that a law did not go through because of protest, the things that happened in South Kores was only a sepecial event, we can't judge this event by that, this event is related with million netizen, and obviously the bill is radiculous, not only netizen, I believe more and more people would come out and do protest, this is a democractic rights, and government would under too much pressure, I can't say it must work, but it could work in some situation.

This is horrible! U.S army should not be like this, I can't believe that it says that service members who are victims of sexual assault effectively don’t have the same rights as civilians, this means when someone was assaulted by a soldier, she must be silent, because of the commander. After 200 hundred years, U.S became a powerful country with thorough legal system, the civilians' rights are under protection. But the thing happend in U.S army, reflected that the legal system should be fixed again in military. A military is another name card of a country, it is now only show other countries the power of the country, but also can show the quality of the country.

And also I have to agree with the writer, I also wanna know why commander could be the only one people that make the decition about this kind of case.

Post week #7

After 10 years, we lost, we never win, we lost thousands soldiers, those soldiers, have their own families, they have children just like Iraq citizens, as the government execute their military actions, as our citizens sitting in our cars and eatting hamburger, the people in another land, are suffering war, our son, our father, are suffering war, we try to tell our citizens, this is a war for peace, but do you really believe that? A war that destroied home of innocent people, called a war for peace? Maybe at first, this war had a good intention, but not now, we said we try to sent others democracy, but we force others to have democracy. In some way, we all are victims.

When we want someome's body last forever, whether thats ours or others, we should think, dose God want us to do this? Our bodies are not belong to ourselves, actually, nothing belongs to us except our souls, God gave ur our bodies as a gift, after we died we should return it to God. Its selfish to keep it looks like alive, and it is definitely wrong to cut off anyone's uterus, uterus are sacred , it is a place to creat new life, we shouldn't do anything to change it even after we die, because our bodies belong to God.

Self Portrait Poem
David
A sunny, introverted, sensitive, humorous boy

As the only child in his family
Loves his friends, his family and his life

He feels be loved, happy and satisfied

He needs a good offer, a stomachful of knowledge, and a piece of pan cake now

He gives love to his friends, gives hug to his family, and a sidelong glance to his homework

He fears of school, lonely, and of course any drop of oil on him.

He would like to see Maya Pyramid after he success, would like to see a paper of offer of course, and a piece of pancake now.

He lives in America, but he also lives in China
